My name is Becky Baruth. For as far back as I can remember I have been a helper.  My entire life people have come to me with their emotional problems. These experiences culminated in my decision to attend college, study psychology and eventually complete my Master of Arts in counseling degree. In my final year of grad school, my life was vitally changed, and its course veered completely. I became a mother.

After a difficult delivery, I struggled for many months with depression and breastfeeding difficulties. For years I thought I'd never have another child, I didn’t think I could go through another difficult delivery. Over time, through education and healing, I became ready to add to my family. After hiring a birth doula and finding a supportive provider, our second child was born. While the birth presented
some difficulties, my recovery was made easier with postpartum support and community resources. As a perfect blend of my education and life experiences, I found my calling: to be a postpartum doula. This role puts me in the position to do what I love: to support new families when they need it most, to be a listening and sympathetic ear, to give them confidence and support so they can find their way.
In 2016 I began my professional training to become a postpartum doula. In October of 2018, after two years of hard work, I completed all requirements and can proudly say I am a Certified Postpartum Doula with Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA).

My work as a postpartum doula varies with each family (and sometimes each shift). My personal passion is supporting moms who have been through difficult deliveries and breastfeeding struggles. Contact me today to see how I can support you!
